The investment seeks to track the investment results of the MSCI ACWI composed of large- and mid-capitalization developed and emerging market equities. The fund generally will invest at least 90% of its assets in the component securities of the underlying index and in investments that have economic characteristics that are substantially identical to the component securities of the underlying index. The MSCI ACWI index covers 85% of the global market capitalisation. It tracks over 2,800 large and mid-cap stocks in 23 developed markets and 26 emerging markets. However, the share of emerging markets in the ACWI is only around 11% whereas they have more than a one-third share of world GDP. The iShares MSCI ACWI ETF seeks to track the investment results of an index composed of large and mid-capitalization developed and emerging market equities. Weights are rounded to six decimal points, for example, 0.0000004 will display as 0.000000 and 0.0000005 will display as 0.000001. As such the totals may not add up to 100%.
